Useful Vail Information
On December 15, 1962 Vail the ski resort was born. Based in Vail Village with one gondola, 2 chairlifts and some condo’s, Vail quickly became home to some of the best skiing on the planet. Entering through the iconic covered bridge, a short walk up Bridge Street to Gondola One provides skiers and snowboarders the quickest route to our diverse terrain and legendary back bowls. When not on the mountain, Vail Village has the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater, Betty Ford Alpine Gardens, restaurants and shops. It is home to events such as Bravo, the Burton US Open and the GoPro Games.
